A graduate in law (LL.B.) and political science (B.A.), Cynthia Gervais is an expert in intergovernmental processes and the implementation of UN conventions and commitments relating to human rights and their intrinsic principles of diversity and inclusion. She has worked for over 20 years as a senior advisor to multilateral and official development assistance institutions – including in the context of the 2030 Agenda, as well as in academia. She is particularly interested in the mutually reinforcing potential of the spheres of culture and human rights, as well as in the field of cultural diplomacy. Cynthia joined the CDCE team and the IFCCD secretariat in 2024.
